JOB SUMMARY:

The Division Manager in Training position is structured to receive mentorship and training in the operations of our Kingsport, TN facility, with the objective of taking full responsibility as the Division Manager. This role encompasses the comprehensive management of the facility’s profit and loss (P&L), ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining safety standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB DUTIES:

1. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe work environment.

2. Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring production targets are met or exceeded within budget.

3. Develop and manage the plant’s P&L, including budget preparation, expense tracking, revenue growth, and cost control.

4. Lead and mentor a diverse team of employees, valuing teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

5. Implement and maintain quality control standards to ensure all products meet customer specifications.

6. Optimize manufacturing processes and workflows to enhance productivity and efficiency.

7. Collaborate with other departments, including Sales, Finance, Safety, Payroll, and Human Resources, to support overall business objectives.

8. Analyze production data to identify trends, address inefficiencies, and develop strategic initiatives for improvement.

9. Maintain and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and customers.

10. Perform work as assigned by the Division Manager and the Executive VP of Operations:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1. Manufacturing Processes: Understanding various manufacturing methodologies, production processes, and best practices relevant to manufacturing processes.

2. Financial Acumen: Knowledge of financial management principles, including P&L statements, budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.

3. Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.

4. Quality Assurance: Understanding of quality control techniques, standards, and methodologies.

5. Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics operations.

1. Leadership and Team Management: Strong ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging collaboration.

2. Critical Problem-Solving Abilities: Capacity for analytical thinking, implementing effective solutions promptly, and efficient resolution of customer issues.

3. Exceptional Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees, stakeholders, and customers.

4. Effective Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

5. Technical Proficiency: Competence in using manufacturing software and data analysis tools. Above-average skills in Microsoft Office applications

6. Adaptability to a Dynamic Working Environment: Ability to adjust to changing circumstances and implement innovative processes when necessary. Comfortable operating effectively in a fast-paced setting.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; preferred,

2. 5+ years of related experience in manufacturing management, with a strong understanding of P&L responsibilities.

3. Track record of successfully managing a manufacturing facility, ideally with full P&L accountability.

4. Experience working within a centralized functions (Shared Services) business model preferred.

5. Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
