Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Production Operator to join our book production team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining digital edge printing equipment used to apply high-quality graphics, color, and identification markings to books and printed products. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing accurate, consistent work and enjoys being part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate digital edge printing equipment according to job specifications.
• Review job tickets, artwork, and production requirements to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality, consistency, and alignment.
• Make routine adjustments to equipment to maintain print quality and production efficiency.
• Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting on equipment.
• Track production output and report any equipment issues or quality concerns.
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards.
• Work closely with production teammates to meet deadlines and customer expectations.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous manufacturing, printing, or machine operation experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to handle production materials and operate equipment safely.
• Comfortable working around moving machinery and production noise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in bookbinding, printing, finishing, or related manufacturing.
• Familiarity with digital printing equipment or production line operations.
• Experience with quality checks and production documentation.
